Arkansas baseball has record 4 All-Americans

OMAHA, Neb. — Four Arkansas baseball players earned All-America honors Wednesday from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Shortstop Wehiwa Aloy, outfielder Charles Davalan and designated hitter Kuhio Aloy were named second-team All-Americans, and left-handed pitcher Zach Root was voted to the third team. They are the program’s 33rd, 34th, 35th and 36th All-Americans.

It is the most All-Americans in a single season at Arkansas. The Razorbacks had 3 All-Americans in 2019 and 2021.

Wehiwa Aloy, who is a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy as national player of the year, finished behind fellow finalist Alex Lodise of Florida State at the shortstop position.
