FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas fell to No. 2 in the USA Today Baseball Coaches Poll on Monday following a 2-1 series loss at Georgia.
The Razorbacks (32-5, 12-3 SEC) lost by 7-6 scores Saturday and Sunday following a 13-3 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday. Georgia moved from No. 6 to No. 5 in this week's poll.
Texas replaced Arkansas as this week's No. 1 team. The Longhorns received 23 first-place votes and the Razorbacks received 5. Third-ranked Tennessee and Georgia received 1 first-place vote apiece.
The SEC has 10 teams ranked this week. In addition to the teams in the top 5, LSU (7), Auburn (9), Ole Miss (11), Alabama (15), Oklahoma (16) and Vanderbilt (17) are also ranked.
