Architects of Bielema’s Demise Now Front and Center in Arkansas Coaching Search

The list of tragedies Arkansas football fans have endured in the last 13 years is far too long to keep track of, but September of 2015 is up there with the worst of them.

After an interim 2012 campaign following Bobby Petrino’s cruel April fool’s joke, the Razorbacks made a big splash by luring Rose Bowl-wreathed Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema down to Fayetteville. The lumbering Illinoisan went 3-9 in his first season, but doubled his win total in 2014 and capped it off by bludgeoning Texas in the Texas Bowl. Arkansas entered the 2015 season ranked 18th in the AP Poll, and things were looking up.
