All-America shortstop Dylan Grego transferring to Arkansas baseball from Ball State

FAYETTEVILLE — Ball State transfer shortstop Dylan Grego, a third-team All-American by ABCA/Rawlings this year, announced his commitment to the Arkansas baseball team on social media Tuesday.

Grego, 6-1 and 195 pounds, was a first-team All-MAC selection and made the conference’s defensive team as a junior in 2025. He was also one of 30 shortstops to be named a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, which is given to the nation’s best shortstop.

The switch hitter led the Cardinals with a .376 batting average and 91 hits, and recorded 14 home runs, 14 doubles, 2 triples, 55 RBI, 15 stolen bases and 58 runs scored.
