FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas lost a commitment earlier Tuesday but regained another with defensive lineman Ari Slocum announcing he has pledged to the Razorbacks.
His commitment came after reopening his recruiting Sept. 30 following the the firing of Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman and much of the defensive staff. Slocum had committed to the Razorbacks in January.
Slocum, 6-4 and 300 pounds, of Farmerville, (La.) Union Parish, chose Arkansas over Missouri, Houston, Purdue and others when he first committed.
The consensus 3-star recruit visited the Razorbacks for the Auburn game Saturday.
A few hours before Slocum's commitment, receiver Robert Haynes IV announced he was reopening his recruitment.
