FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas kicker Connor Limpert was named special teams player of the week by the Southeastern Conference on Monday.
Limpert made two field goal attempts from 54 and 22 yards during the Razorbacks’ 55-34 victory over Colorado State on Saturday. He also made seven extra-point attempts and had 5 of 10 kickoffs go for touchbacks.
It is the first time Limpert has won the weekly SEC award.
Limpert’s 54-yard field goal near the end of the first quarter put the Razorbacks ahead 24-14 Saturday. It was the second-longest field goal of the senior’s career, one yard shy of his 55-yard field goal last season against Vanderbilt.
