Arkansas basketball got the good news it had long been waiting for when standout guard Karter Knox announced he was returning for his sophomore season.
The 6-foot-6 wing had been testing the NBA Draft waters while retaining his college eligibility. Knox averaged 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds as a freshman, but he played his best basketball down the closing stretch and developed into one of Arkansas’ most important players. He averaged double figures over the final 18 games of the season and put up 13.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in the NCAA Tournament.
Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari is still awaiting a decision from star forward Adou Thiero, though he has long been considered to be leaning towards staying in the draft.
