University of Arkansas basketball Coach Eric Musselman and his staff’s communication with ESPN 5-star junior power forward Kijani Wright put the Razorbacks in his top seven schools.
Wright, 6-9, 228 pounds, of Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward School, named Arkansas, USC, Stanford, Texas, Florida State, Kansas and Michigan State as finalists Tuesday.
He plays for the Compton Magic program during the spring and summer.
“I think Coach Musselman and his whole staff have been in constant contact and actually shown us they really want him, and I think his style of play fits Kijani,” said Doug Joseph, who coaches the 16-under Compton Magic.
