Ari Slocum, a 3-star 2026 defensive lineman from Farmerville (La.) Union Parish who committed to the Arkansas football team in June, said he’s still a Razorback. The news comes after Arkansas fired six-year head coach Sam Pittman on Sunday.
Slocum committed to the Razorbacks over Missouri, Auburn, Purdue and other schools that offered him.
“Very disappointing situation,” Slocum said. “But I’m still committed."
Offensive lineman Bobby Petrino will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek said Petrino is interested in the full-time job.
Slocum retaining his commitment comes after 3-star 2026 wide receiver commit Keymian Henderson Jr.
