FAYETTEVILLE — Quarterback Jayvon Gilmore has reopened his recruitment after being committed to Arkansas football for more than a year.
Gilmore, 6-6 and 195 pounds, withdrew from Gaffney High School in South Carolina earlier in the week. He was splitting time with another quarterback.
Sources told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette the decision came as a result of Razorbacks deciding to go a different direction. They will seek to find another quarterback in the class.
Gilmore completed 180 of 297 passes for 2,510 yards, 26 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, and rushed for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns as a junior.
