FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football is set to begin its preseason practice schedule Friday.
It will be the first of 25 practices ahead of the Aug. 30 season opener against Alabama A&M. Reporters will be allowed to attend the first 12 normal practices but neither of the two scrimmages, which are scheduled for Aug. 9 and Aug. 16.
Arkansas coach Sam Pittman is scheduled to have his first of five preseason news conferences Thursday at 2 p.m.
Each position coach will also have one news conference ahead of the season opener, and coordinators Bobby Petrino and Travis Williams will have two.
