When a head coach is fired, the next season’s recruiting class typically falls apart. Arkansas football is certainly not immune to this phenomenon, as the Hogs’ 2026 class has lost six pledges since Sam Pittman was let go Sunday.
In this day and age, the transfer portal poses an added level of danger to the team itself.
On Monday, a 30-day transfer window opened for Arkansas’ players, giving them an opportunity to enter the portal. The only caveat is that they aren’t allowed to play for two teams in a season, so transfers won’t hit the gridiron again until 2026.
