Ten current or former Arkansas track and field athletes received medals at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, which concluded Sunday.
The event ran from Sept. 13-21 and included 19 former Razorbacks representing nine countries.
Five former Arkansas sprinters received medals following the 1,600 meter relay finals Sunday.
On the men’s side, Chris Bailey earned a silver medal for running in the prelims for the U.S. team twice, including a runoff between the U.S. and Kenya in which the Americans advanced to the final. Bailey did not run in the final for the U.S. team, which finished second to Botswana with a time of 2 minutes, 57.
