LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Senior Jackson Wells delivered his most dominant pitching performance of the season when the Trojans needed it most, not only lifting Little Rock to an 11-4 win over UT Martin on Saturday, but now earning Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. Wells is the third player and second pitcher from Little Rock to win OVC weekly honors this season.
The 5-11, 200-pound righty from Rogers tied his single-game career best with nine strikeouts while picking up the win over the Skyhawks. Wells went 5.1 innings on a total of 99 pitches and gave up just three hits and a single earned run.
