TUNICA, Mississippi — The Little Rock Women's Golf team was able to overcome a blustery opening round at the OVC Championships and take a nine-stroke lead after the first 18 holes at Tunica National. Little Rock (+14) fired a team total of 302 through constant wind and will head into Monday's second round with the overall lead. Morehead State – last year's OVC Champions – is second at +23, followed by Western Illinois and Lindenwood at +37.
Little Rock also holds the first two spots on the individual leaderboard, with Anna Dawson taking the top spot after an opening round of Even 72.
