UALR 6, CENTRAL ARKANSAS 5

It was just the type of game to start a rivalry.

UALR (6-10) rallied from two separate two-run deficits to snap a four-game losing streak and beat Central Arkansas (9-7) in a back-and-forth "Rock 'n' Roar Rivalry" game Wednesday night at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock.

Dalton Thomas hit a two-run home run, his first of the season, in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Trojans the lead for good at 6-5. Preston Oberling and Cody McGill, who earned his second save of the season, struck out two batters each in the eighth and ninth innings to keep the Bears in check.
