LITTLE ROCK – For the 13th time in program history, Little Rock volleyball has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year, the organization announced on Monday morning.
This is the eighth time in the last nine years that Little Rock has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award. The Trojans first earned the award for the 1997-98 academic year.
The Trojans were one of 164 Division I teams to earn the honor as they posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.35 through the 2018 spring semester.
In the Sun Belt Conference, Little Rock was one of five teams to earn the award with the others being Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State and ULM.
