Trojan Block Party Paces Little Rock to 3-1 Win

LITTLE ROCK - Paced by 19 team blocks, Little Rock made a statement in its Sun Belt Conference opener, outlasting South Alabama 25-20, 18-25, 25-21, 25-23 in its home opener at the Jack Stephens Center. The win ups the Trojans' record to 9-5 on the year, matching its win total from the 2017 campaign.

As a team, Little Rock hit .248 on the night while limiting the Jaguars (6-8) to a .191 clip and held a commanding 19-3 edge in team blocks. The Trojan defensive effort was paced by Veronica Marin's 13 blocks, which is tied for the fourth-most in a single match in program history.
