FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Spencer Cardinal ran a season best time and Matilda Horton led the Trojan women for the third meet in a row as Little Rock finished 21st on both sides at the Chile Pepper Festival on Friday afternoon in Fayetteville.
Cardinal clocked a time of 24:44.2 as he led the Little Rock men for the first time this season. His time is a season-best mark by nearly 30 seconds as he finished 43rd in the 356-runner field. Zach McPhee followed for the Trojan men, running 25:09.
