After trailing by 13 points in the first half deficit, the Arkansas-Little Rock men's basketball team used a suffocating second-half defensive performance to turn the game around as the Trojans opened the season with a 92-63 victory over Arkansas Baptist on Tuesday night at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock.
Johnathan Lawson scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Cameron Wallace scored 12 of his 17 points in the second half to go with 7 rebounds. Tuongthach Gatkek also had 17 points on 7-of 12-shooting with 5 steals and 2 blocks.
"Toon (Gatkek) was being Toon, wreaking havoc on the other team defensively," UALR Coach Darrell Walker said.
