CHARLESTON, Illinois — With rain falling at game time Saturday and no break in sight for the remainder of the weekend, the decision was made to cancel the remainder of the Ohio Valley Conference series between Little Rock and Eastern Illinois, which saw just one completed contest Friday afternoon. According to OVC rules, the two canceled contests will not be made up.
Little Rock lost the opening game on Friday, 6-3, and was ready to take the field Saturday at 10 am for the first of what hoped to be two games Saturday, but rain began to fall just minutes before first pitch and turned into a steady heavy rain that forced teams off the field.
