BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Little Rock men's indoor track and field team earned an event win as they continued their season at the Samford Open on Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex.
On Friday night, junior transfer Charles Okeze won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.43 — the sixth-fastest time in school history — in his first event with Little Rock. Travion Clark and Ch'kilas Calhoun finished sixth and eighth with times of 22.12 and 22.22, respectively.
After winning the 200-meter dash on Friday night, Okeze took sixth in the finals of the 60-meter dash on Saturday with a time of 6.
