McWilliams’ Home Run Powers Comeback to Force Extras but Trojans Fall in 10

CONWAY, S.C. – Canyon McWilliams' at bat in the ninth inning is the stuff stories are made of. Unfortunately for Little Rock, the story didn't have a Cinderella ending.

Representing the tying run as the Trojans trailed by two McWilliams battled a full count, fouling multiple pitches off before he sent the 11th pitch of the at bat well past the right center fence at Spring Brooks Stadium in Conway Saturday afternoon, as Little Rock turned a five-run ninth inning deficit into a 6-6 tie ballgame.

However, Little Rock (21-21, 9-13 Sun Belt) was not able to fulfill a true story book ending as Coastal Carolina (28-15-1, 15-7-1 Sun Belt) pulled out a 9-6 (10 inning) decision after Graham Brown hit a three-run home run to end the game.
