NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the third time this season, senior Veronica Marin has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.
Marin's third weekly honor comes on the heels of another stellar performance by the Tulcea, Romania native as she helped guide the Trojans to a weekend road split. Marin finished with 15 total blocks, averaging 1.88 blocks per set, while adding 27 kills and a .434 attack percentage.
