LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock sophomore forward Maggie Turner has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Turner has scored three of the Trojans' eight goals so far this season.
The women's soccer team started its regular season this past week at East Texas A&M and then at in-state rival Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Trojans were 1-1 this week, with Turner scoring her first goal of her Trojan career against East Texas A&M. She then followed it up with two more goals against UAPB on Sunday.
Turner's start this season is a stark contrast to last year, when injuries limited her to no goals and just two shots.
