LITTLE ROCK – Jaelle Carlson has been selected as the Missouri Valley Conference's Swimmer of the Week, announced the conference on Tuesday morning. The freshman standout collected first-place finishes in both individual events as well as two relays at last week's dual against North Texas, earning her first league recognition of her career.
Carlson won the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly with times of 52.27 and 57.84, respectively. The Weatherford, Texas native has not been beaten in the 100 freestyle at a dual meet yet, and ranks fifth in the conference in the race so far this season.
