BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Little Rock has claimed its first weekly Ohio Valley Conference accolades for men's basketball with Myron Gardner being named the OVC Player of the Week and Chris Walker earning OVC Freshman of the Week honors.
Gardner averaged a double-double for the week in three games, averaging 14.7 points and 10.3 rebounds with 5.0 assists while shooting 48.4% from the floor. Gardner was also 7-of-8 from the line (87.5%) in helping the Trojans to a 1-2 week, leading Little Rock in three point shooting at 53.8%, making 7-of-13 and fueling a second half comeback against Jackson State by going 5-of-6.
