Funk's Gem Evens Series With 4-2 Win Over Mountaineers

LITTLE ROCK – Aaron Funk put threw a gem Saturday night at Gary Hogan Field, going 8.1 innings and allowing just two late runs (one earned) on six hits with a season-high 11 strikeouts to pace Little Rock to the 4-2 victory over App State. The win improves the Trojans to 20-25 on the year and 10-10 in Sun Belt play, keeping Little Rock in the hunt in the West Division.

Funk threw 130 pitches, a new career-high and the most for a Trojan since Jose Torres at ULM on April 20, 2019, registering 83 for strikes.
