Curington Wins Bronze on First Day of Sun Belt Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ryan Curington recorded the second-best long jump in school history and claimed the bronze medal Monday, leading Little Rock on the first day of the Sun Belt Indoor Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham.

The junior's mark of 24-4.25 (7.42m) ranks second in school history and put him on the podium, leading a quartet of scorers for the Maroon and Silver.

Hunter Johnson recorded a new school record in the pole vault as the freshman cleared 15-5.57 (4.72m), besting his previous record mark by nearly an inch.
