MOBILE, Ala. – Ricardo Banks tied the school record in the 800m to advance to Saturday's finals and Ryan Curington put the Trojans on the board by claiming the silver medal in the long jump as action continued at the Sun Belt Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Mobile on Friday.
Banks ran 1:50.82 to match the school record originally set by Dmitry Shokur in 2003. His time placed him fifth in an extremely fast prelims race and qualified him for Saturday's finals race.
Earlier in the day, Ryan Curington posted the second-best long jump in school history to secure him second place and the silver medal.
