App Knocked Off the Mountain

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With a strong defensive performance, a potent serving game and a balanced attack, Little Rock upended Appalachian State, 3-1, Saturday night at the Jack Stephens Center.

The Trojans (3-15, 1-5 Sun Belt), while claiming their first Sun Belt Conference win of the season, knocked Appalachian State (9-10, 5-1) from the ranks of the unbeatens in league play. Set scores were 25-21, 25-9, 22-25 and 25-23.

In all, Little Rock had four players with double-digit digs and the team recorded more digs (78) and blocks (7) in Saturday's match than they have in any other Sun Belt match to date.
