LITTLE ROCK – Annya Grom has earned Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this season, announced by the conference office on Wednesday. The sophomore shattered two more records this past weekend, upping her total to four this season. All four new records were set within the past three weeks.
To kick off her performances at the Little Rock vs. Illinois State virtual meet, Grom won the 100 breaststroke by nearly five seconds with a time of 1:03.48. The previous record, set by Grom herself as a freshman at the Missouri Valley Championships last season, was 1:03.
