There's a new professional football league that begins play this weekend and several former Arizona college football players are on rosters.
These players in the XFL are looking for a chance to jump start their careers to a chance to play in the NFL.
Among the Arizona connections?
Former Arizona Wildcats standout Scooby Wright, who also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals.
Wright is a linebacker for the D.C. Defenders.
"I thought I’d still be in the NFL, if we’re being honest," Wright said.
