With an opening drive that saw ailing quarterback Khalil Tate regain his rushing form and throw for a 31-yard-pass touchdown before being taken out of the game for a series, the Arizona Wildcats trail the Cal Golden Bears 14-10 at halftime.

In an opening quarter that saw the 'Cats' best offensive start to the season, the Bears scrambled to stop both the air and ground attack.

Tate, who had been limited in recent weeks by a nagging left ankle injury, threw for 90 yards and a touchdown and showed signs of his old self in the first half, cutting and juking defenders on the opening drive.
