Six golfers, including Jim Furyk, have ever shot under a 60 in a round of golf in the PGA, and none under 59. Today, in the final round of the Travelers Championship in Connecticut, Arizona’s own Jim Furyk (pronounced Feeyurik) shot a 58 for the first time in PGA Tour history.
The five other professional Golfers who have shot 59 include Stuart Appleby (2010), Paul Goydos (2010), David Duval (1999), Chip Beck (1991), and Al Geiberger (1971). You notice none of the famous golfers’ names are on the list, not Tiger Woods, not, Nicholson, not Watson, none.
