Last season, Adia Barnes tried to juggle a roster of 15 players. It didn’t work for the Arizona Wildcats, so Barnes went with a roster of 12 this year to provide more opportunities for her young players to get on the court.
“I’m only having 12 because 15 was a nightmare,” Barnes said in September. “When you have 15 players, you have 10 players that hate you and they’re miserable. It’s just how it is, so I think 15 is way too many. I didn’t really understand. I just think younger coach, you think, ‘Fifteen. Oh, great! We have enough to practice.
