TUCSON – Eleven trips to the free-throw line gave Kadeem Allen a lot of time to think Saturday, yet he still had no clue.
The Arizona senior guard totaled a career-high 18 points in the Wildcats’ 82-73 win over Colorado, after hitting nine of those 11 free throws and making all three 3-pointers he took to push his team-high 3-point percentage to 51.4.
He played a critical defensive role, too.
Yet the way Allen described it afterward, his career-high and overall numbers didn’t add up to anything except 82-73.
“I really didn’t know until I was walking over and Matt (Ensor, UA publicist) told me,” Allen said.
