This will make a lot of people happy.
It appears the Arizona Wildcats have ditched the gradient pattern on their home jerseys for their regular-season opener against the Houston Baptist Huskies, per this picture by equipment manager Brian Brigger.
It’s a simpler, cleaner look compared to the previous design, which can be seen at the top of this article and was introduced prior to the 2016-17 season. It is not clear if the accompanying shorts have been altered too since they cannot been seen in Brigger’s photo.
Arizona’s white uniforms did feature the gradient pattern during the exhibition season, and it will be interesting to see if its red and blue uniforms still have it, though we won’t know until the team heads to Maui.
