Ricky Barnes has had a very up and down 2017 season, even by golfing standards. He has made the cut in 14 of the 25 events that he has played in this year. Barely making 50% of the cuts in tournaments that you play in is decent, just not something you would like to consistently happen year after year.

On Thursday, Barnes teed off yet again, this time in White Sulpher Springs, WV, for The Greenbrier Classic. In the first round, Barnes started off slow, by parring his first 4 holes. He finally got on the board with a birdie on the fifth hole.
