Trailing the Atlanta Hawks by six points to start the 4th quarter, the Cavs offensive barrage began, due in large part to the unlikely hero, Channing Frye. Scoring 11 of his 27 points in the final quarter, his efforts fueled the Cavs’ furious comeback, to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The offensive explosion may come as a bit of a shock to some, but Frye was brought in to Cleveland for just that. Since joining the NBA in 2005, Frye has indeed developed a deceptively deadly outside shot, and is part of the reason why the Cavaliers sought after Frye.
