Donovan Laie named to 2018 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year watch list

Freshman offensive tackle Donovan Laie was named the the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame’s 2018 Football Player of the Year watch list on Wednesday.

The award goes out to the most outstanding Polynesian college football player and is selected by the Polynesian Football HOF Selection Committee, headed by former Arizona Wildcats head coach Dick Tomey.

Laie has really proven himself this season, starting all seven games at either left or right tackle. There have been times where he has looked like a freshman, but he has stepped up to the challenge. He has had an overall impressive year so far.
