Deandre Ayton will have an individual workout with the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, the team announced. There will be media availability afterward.
It will be Ayton’s opportunity to secure his place as the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, assuming the Suns haven’t made up their mind already.
Nearly every NBA Draft expert believes Phoenix will select the Arizona big man. The other option is Slovenian forward Luka Doncic.
While Ayton does have something to lose by going through this workout, it’s hard to imagine the Suns will come away anything but impressed, given his size and athleticism.
