Redshirt sophomore cornerback Azizi Hearn is no longer on the Arizona Wildcats’ roster, our Brandon Combs noted on Twitter.
Hearn logged 26 tackles and a pass breakup in 12 games last season. He started the final three games.
It is unclear why Hearn was removed from the roster, but he was a walk-on so it’s possible he is transferring in search of a scholarship. Hearn did not have any Division I offers coming out of Oceanside High School, per 247Sports.
Even with the loss of Hearn, Arizona returns a good number of cornerbacks, including Jace Whittaker, Lorenzo Burns, McKenzie Barnes, Troy Young and Christian Young.
