TUCSON – It was the sight no one wanted to see.
Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright III hobbled around the Wildcats sideline, using a cane to support his injured left knee. There was no word on the extent of his injury as the game played on without him.
But there was concern. And fear.
With apologies to quarterback Anu Solomon, Wright is UA’s most indispensable and important player. That was proven on Thursday when the Wildcats struggled to beat the University of Texas at San Antonio, 42-32, in a game they were favored to win by 31 points.
