Basketball player Ira Lee cited for DUI, incident to be reviewed by Dean of Students

University of Arizona sophomore men’s basketball player Ira Lee, 20, has been cited for a DUI incident that occurred on Saturday, Aug. 18, according to an Arizona Athletics press release.

The UA Athletic Department is currently reviewing the incident for potential team consequences.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, Lee is facing a misdemeanor for failing to yield at an intersection and a “super extreme” DUI charge that involves a blood-alcohol level of .20 or higher. Lee's arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 10.

The incident has also been sent to the UA Dean of Students Office for review under the Student Code of Conduct.
