Just like the Arizona men’s team, the Arizona women’s basketball team has one more scholarship to play with this offseason, despite already signing three freshmen and a pair of transfers.
Unlike the men’s team, the women’s team is allowed to carry 15 scholarship players, two more than their male counterparts. While that sounds like a good thing, it’s generally too many for Adia Barnes’ liking.
“Ideally for me in a perfect world, I don’t want 15 players,” the UA coach said. “It’s just too many and like seven people aren’t happy. And I think you end up having more transfers.
