Dave Heeke’s first hire at Arizona is a familiar face.
The new UA athletic director tabbed Augie Busch to be the Arizona Wildcats’ new head swimming and diving coach.
Busch is an Arizona alumus and the son of legendary swim coach Frank Busch, who was the UA’s head coach for 22 years (1989-2011).
Augie Busch was an assistant coach at the UA for eight years before leaving in 2011 to become Houston’s new head coach, the same year Frank Busch stepped down to become USA Swimming’s National Director.
