Arizona opposite hitter Puk Stubbe isn’t your average freshman. She has years of experience playing for the Dutch national beach volleyball program. That experience has made her an instant starter for Arizona volleyball, leading to the Pac-12 naming her Freshman of the Week for week four.
“I don’t really consider Puk a freshman,” head coach Dave Rubio said. “I mean, she’s 21 years old. She’s played more volleyball than just about anybody on the team.”
