Arizona volleyball hires Matt Dyck as new assistant coach

The Arizona Wildcats have hired Matt Dyck as their new assistant coach, it was announced Monday. He replaces Gregg Whitis, who stepped down in April after seven seasons with the program.

Dyck attended the UA from 2001-2005, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history. He was once a manager for the volleyball team and sister Amy was a setter for the Wildcats from 2004-07. Their father Jack was a volunteer assistant in 2014.

  • Dyck has served as a head coach/college recruiting coordinator/camp director for Zona Volleyball for 16 years in addition to very successful stints leading the Arizona men’s volleyball club team, Arizona Premier Volleyball and the Arizona High Performance Team for USA Volleyball.
