Arizona softball likes to load its schedule with the best teams, and Tuesday will take that to a whole new level.
The Wildcats will host the U.S. national team, the No. 1 team in the world, at 7 p.m. MST as the latest opponent on Team USA’s “Stand Beside Her” tour as it prepares for the 2020 Olympics.
It will be a homecoming for UA senior catcher Dejah Mulipola, who is redshirting this season to play for Team USA.
“With Dejah making the team, that was probably kind of an automatic for them to come to Tucson,” said UA coach Mike Candrea, who coached Team USA in 2004 and 2008.
